It actually is happening, both ways. I've gotten extra gifts from Secret Santa and even lost some to it and no the extra gifts aren't the ones I've lost, the numbers don't add up. I've also lost gifts while sending them to people and those still haven't turned up anywhere. I'm assuming it has something to do with the lag that is going on right now.
