Sometimes it just takes time for the shield to migrate into the realm of 'recognized by statues'... Sometimes it doesn't ever work. Same with that 'sword display' thing. Some swords work on there, some don't.

If there's an actual issue with your door, you could try moving the graphic 16 pixels to the right on the template.
