Please don't ask several times even tho the questions got awnsered often enough, there's no point to explain something to someone if the certain person isn't open to change their mind.

Rewards is a huge part of motivation. That's sad? That's how it works, thats how most of us "competetive players" are, you don't get any reward for towering right now.
Can't talk for every player on this but do you think anyone would try that hard to win an eSports Event that first gave you $100,000 & now not even a cent?
No, Obviously not, the competitive aspect of the game would die and only the people that missed the competetive part/never felt it will still try to win an tournament.
