There is a difference between killing them without causing pain and beating them up till they die. And I was talking about the physically abuse, animals for production do get objectified and I personally don't see anything against (once more; as long as they don't get harmed in any way).
And just to keep it on your level - why don't you count plants as living things? According to the main points of the definition of life they do have a metabolism, run mutual reactions with their enviroment as well as running a homeostasis, reproduce and register chimical changes in their enviroment. So why do you decide to kill plants - is that humane for you? And besides, unlike most animals, they're mandatory for us to live, especially alga.

plants are living things, they just don't feel pain considering the fact that they don't have nervous systems. when did i say they weren't living?
there is no "humane" way going about killing animals. im sorry cant argue it. but this thread wasnt meant to be an argument, it was supposed to be informative and seeing who else is vegan in the community. if you arent even remotely interested in veganism, why are you on this thread?
------
For those of you interested in veganism even a little bit or want to know more about it feel free to post and I'll inform you. Reasons to go vegan, why you should, how you should, and what it's like. or if you are vegan i'd love to know your experience with foods and how long and such. those who aren't, tell me why and I'd like to inform you otherwise, but let's not make it an argument, thanks.
