Was mostly to do with the fact that it's impossible to distribute a bounty to whoever does the most damage when it splits into two blobs that have practically no health. Green blobs are still very easy to kill. Before it took 4 hits to kill a green blob and make it split, then 2 hits each small blob and you get two bounty points for a total of 8 hits. Now you spend 4 hits killing a single green blob and get a point, then another 4 hits killing another green blob. I suppose the biggest factor there is green blob availability.
However, the green blob bounty was already balanced with killing only the green slime and thus getting two bounty hits from the small slimes made it was easier than it was intended anyways. Green blobs are, as far as I know, the easiest mob to kill and do it quickly on Classic. An extra 25 from the 75 of the likes of the human baddies can't make it take longer than it would to kill the human baddies, if it's even longer. I haven't had time to sit and test them all out on my player yet.

Yeah, it wasn't actually even 8 hits for the mini blobs; it usually was 6. If you did it right they would both jump towards you as an attack, and you could kill both with two swings and be credited for both, too.
Availability is what slows the green blobs down... But with them being in the recently released area it will just take time for players to adjust. Too many new players assume swamp is the only area, which limits it a bit.
