Hello. I'm not sure if it's effective on every device but I went into options and increased the bar for 'controls zoom'. It did prevent me from accidentally tapping since the icons were bigger. If this doesn't work, you could try using a laptop/PC since you only have to use a keyboard; you won't accidentally tap the wrong icon.
