Just buy one for every mount, they are only twenty-thousand gralats.

Got them on a few mounts, would be cool if horse shoe displayed on mounts that could actually wear them.

Think the confusion with slower mounts was that the "greater benefit" would just be because they are slower than normal, not that it would make them go faster overall.
