norwegian airlines and ryan air will be your best friends when it comes to flights. for cheap flights between the US and EU you gotta find sweet deals because there is no single cheapest option. will prob be your biggest expense

taking trains/buses is useful if you're going across smaller countries but im not sure how much they cost

hostels are fun to stay at and pretty cheap compared to hotels
