Because no one wants you to have customizable weapon stats. There's no point in making stats for a weapon when it can be used for any gun. I'm pretty sure squads would much rather choose what weapon to get the skin for, rather than being stuck with crappy holiday weapon stats.

I doubt since technically it's a new gun and it's from basing so it should have basing like stats, and it's for all 5k weapon not just 1 so it can be reused for other 5k stats, and customizable I don't think I said it can be customized from the player staff do the stats for it, and let's ask December since his squad is one of the closes to the reward if he rather have a skin for a gun or a set stat for a basing reward his squad worked for, and p.s I said my opinion
And plus all the stats are messed up right now so it's hard to set a gun skin as of now until later
