No they don't. Lots of **** happens that people don't want, and lots of **** doesn't happen that people want. The people often have nothing to do with things that politicians pass or don't pass into law. I mean sure, if there's an actual campaign that gains power for stricter gun control or anything, and the party that sides with that issue has control of the house/senate/presidency, then yea, the people could actually cause change. Take Orlando for instance. Democrats used it to attack Republicans for not allowing stricter gun control measures. Republicans used it to attack Democrats for not attacking ISIS more. I'm pretty sure almost everyone (besides the radical lunatics) would agree that the gun control process isn't efficient enough. But both parties are using this for political party gain, which is why they can't get **** done and every gun control bill brought up recently was not passed. Well. There's my rant about political party bull**** that goes on. That's enough for now, I guess.
