The hat's are technically shaded well, but some of the designs, idk.

Examples, My opinions:

Bear could have had the legs cut off, and have the cotton a little out. Making it badass and cute at the same time. "I'm still alive, and can still kick your butt"

Bird's yellow part would have been cooler as a masquerade type mask. Zorro like mask.

Green-eyed robot could have been cooler as just goggles on top of head, or on eyes.

Cat eyes could have been a little less creepy. Just a curve would have been nice.

Nothing against lion helmet, and laser helmet (some people like the laser helmet)

I wish I had the files to show you some examples. They obviously wouldn't be up to the level of shading that has been done on these hats, but I believe these designs would look a lot nicer.

Not saying the hats are garbage either. I just think that some of the designs could have been a little nicer.
