To be honest, I am kind of hoping something crazy to happen. Something like Bernie running as an independent party. It would be like Theodore Roosevelt who ran in the Progressive Bull Moose party.

If Bernie ran as an independent he would've lost even more individual votes cause a lot of people stick with the main democratic party over independent parties.
Also if I'm not mistaken, Theodore Roosevelt didn't even win the election when he formed the Bull Moose party.
