Well in general people overestimate the effect of a presidential election on the daily life of someone anyways.

It's called checks and balances for a reason. Although, I get why people would be afraid of Trump as President since we see how Obama abuses his executive authority already. I can see why they might think Obama's setting a precedent and Trump might do the same.
