Anti-depressants only affect you badly if you're mis-diagnosed with depression. Like for me Anti-depressants didn't work for me because I have bipolar/mood disorder. Thus, they affected me in ways like making my depression worse. Also, some meds simply don't work like others. Some might actually make you want to kill your family, but most won't. So anti-depressants could work for him, or they might not. Depends on what kind he gets, or of he's even diagnosed with depression.
