Yes, it can certainly bring up some traumatizing memories can't it .

On a serious note, this feature is a double edged sword, as pointed out above, players are susceptible to random, unwanted, spam messages. Although it'd be able to be turned off as OP said.
I'm sure some players would be interested in trialling it!
