A pet is a very good idea specifically a dog, mine has taken me off the thoughts of bad things what have happened and its as if they can understand your feelings, they can cheer you up when you need it most.

Try and have more time with her, take her out for long walks perhaps once a week, more if possible.

Oh, and watch more cute cat videos, always seem to put a smile on your face.
