your brain gets used to the other sparrers patterns u start imitating those patterns and then it becomes a race to one up each other. u take a brake and ur brain retains on it and builds just like any other muscle. also what aguzo said about people getting used to u. from what ive seen my three months sparring everyweek players got a couple new tricks learned from the week before, in quick spar atleast so people build on each other like that which can be spiralyy and counterproductive when new people come in and wreck the ongoing patterns.
