Let me give an example to see if it can help you understand what gayzyB is trying to say.
Sugar around the world is 10x cheaper than American sugar. The US has a tariff on imported sugar that is high enough(thanks to rich sugar companies that bought politicians) to make American sugar cheaper than foreign sugar. THUS we the Americans are screwed because we get to pay 10x more for sugar than the rest of the world. So imagine if a lot of products had the same thing? Would you say we would end up paying more?

Yep, a Clinton hypocrite. Very funny.
Love how you talk about 'bought politicians' and then proclaim your support for the biggest sellout in the world.
You could say the same thing about a sales tax, should we get rid of that too?? It makes prices higher. Tariffs are really an economic leftist ideal so I don't know why you support a democratic candidate and then attack trade protectionist policies. Maybe you don't even know what the party you support stands for?
I am not a big supporter of Tarrifs, I'll be honest I'd much rather a VET/GST with lower income taxes. However, you cannot possibly count Trump out with ignorance about Tarrifs. Trying to say he will start a 'trade war' is laughable.
Yes, it may cause inflation. What would you rather, unemployment or inflation? Personally, I'd go with inflation.

A country isn't a business. He may know how to work the economy, but I doubt he'd know how (or want) to fix the economy.
I suppose that's true, that he'd know corporate tax loopholes. But why would you want someone who is primarily concerned with improving his on wealth in charge of America?
disclaimer: am Australian, I may not be up to date.

But he does want to fix the economy, I provided a link. He wants to fix one of the worst things in America: Corporate tax inversion.
I just want to say, currently the GOP controls congress. The Democratic candidates are promising the moon, when really they cannot actually come through with it if the current shape of congress stays how it is (personally, I don't think the Dems have even the slightest chance of capturing the House).
