Except a couple hundred players in one level trying to get through an event warper would cause major lag, which is the number one thing players complain about on graal. The queue event system eliminates that problem.

The amount of lag that such a situation would produce really isn't a big deal. The crowding of the level would probably only last for a minute or two and if you consider how many players are already clumped together in places such as graal city and the adoption center, it's not going to have a huge impact in the grand scheme of things. I think the benefits of using warpers, some of which I stated earlier, far outweigh the issue of lag in this situation.
Edit: Also, if you consider how infrequent events are, it makes the occasional lag spike even less significant.
