Well for starters, you probably shouldn't impersonate staff members or pretend to be on the developer team when you aren't.

Secondly, you probably received a lot of attention because you made yourself visible and constantly told people you were a developer, most staff members don't go around saying on global chat they are staff so they wouldn't receive as much attention as you. They might get PM's on their player accounts but still not as much as you would have.
