Your idea seems just like the current tower system. "Take a tower with your buddies" "Hold for as long as you can" "Guild with highest score wins prize!" It's basically the current tower system but you don't get a hat at 1k. Well, that's what I got from your OP.

The system right now will still be there, my idea is just to add a system where you can get a "longest hold" on a tower, preferably castle, and nly 1 tower. By longest hold means how long you can hold the tower without losing it. And it's something you can do one a month/week. Instead of towering every day, and nub recruiting.
Example:
Longest Hold (Castle)
Season ends in 1 month 1 day 23 hours.
Guild 1: 18 hours
Guild 2: 13 hours
Guild 3: 7 hours
Guild 4: 6
