non-competitive server: the exact same map as we have right now but without the battle arena and the guild forts.
competitive server: a large room with portals to each fort and to the battle arena.
this way, those who are actually bothered by the lag (the competitive players) lose at least half of the people online and can actually play the game lag-free.

Sounds a little like the "roleplaying" server idea that was brought up several years ago; but this is better named. I'm still good with the idea.
