Some of the stuff mentioned (like backpacks) could be interesting if they actually served a purpose (which, I'm not sure what that would be for a backpack, but you get the idea). Other than stuff with legitimate gameplay mechanics, I'm not sure adding player accessories for the sake of adding accessories is the way to go.

Hmm, backpack can give you an extra hotkey? Like, I think of the 2 hotkeys we have right now are like hands. Add a backpack could be like a hotkey.
Or maybe, you can store extra arrows and bombs in there. So when you run out of arrows and bombs, you still got some in your backpack

Discussed this with Stefan a long time ago. Can probably add 1 additional thing, but anymore than that there would be big issues with lag. There is also technical planning that never happened (and is too out of hand) on Classic for this to happen.
