I don't necessarily think it shows professionalism if a Zone staff member criticizes a potential volunteer for the server.

It doesn't. Calling someone a douche in a hiring thread for the server you work on is probably the most blatant show of unprofessionalism I have ever seen. Its hard to believe someone can be so oblivious.
