Crono's right here. For someone just trying to lose weight it's all about intake control. Building muscle and all that is a different story. That doesn't mean a diet of Pop Tarts and Coca Cola would be good for you, though.

I suppose, I'm no dietician, but in practise I doubt someone drinking and eating 1800 kcalories worth of Pop Tarts and Coca Cola would lose weight.
That being said in my opinion once one starts detoxing added sugars, trans fats, and eats a mainly unprocessed and healthy diet weight, loss should come quickly.
