My problem is with Yu the most. My sister pointed out that he's like Eren from AOT and that made me realize why I'm not a huge fan of him. I really do enjoy the anime so far, but yeah characters could use work.

Worst male MC archetypes:
-the wimpy ones that dont have the balls to fight even though most of them have an overpowered weapon; spend half the anime crying or paralyzed with fear.
-the ones that think theyre badass and honestly believe they can kill hoards of monsters with zero training and a weak weapon; spend half the anime boasting or complaining that their superior wont let them fight. (Yuichi).
