Not really, was no fair way of deploying them and often reflected favoritism of the staff, etc.
Best playerhouse systems IMO were the ones from Andor (really old playerworld), Graal Kingdoms, 2001, etc. Systems were you can either buy pre-made houses on the map through sale or auction or build them on your own.
If we're talking about in specific to iClassic then no, it's a bad idea. I think the server needs as little clutter space as possible with how large the playercount is. Removal of SNC guild house was A+ Thallen approved.
It was a cool format for what Graal used to be - a small, close-knit playerbase that was spread very thin over multiple playerworlds where certain playerworlds were actually represented by certain players and guilds. There was plenty space and reason to have them.
