I would try to make the text /not/ the main focal point and keep it relatively close to the main focal point (like the Akizuki one on the previous page, and my current one to some degree), so make it smaller and less dominant. Also try to move the render to somewhere like this if this is the signature: [____|__] as opposed to [______|]. Some effects wouldn't hurt either, just copy paste some googled "c4d effects" into the image with the lighten only layer mode and play around with those.

oh yeah here's my magic cop out when I can't make a signature work. copy visible -> paste into new layer above -> gaussian blur 5.0 -> layer mode overlay

works every time
