I always just act like I am the best looking guy in the room at all times, really helps with the confidence part. Just tell her straight up how you feel, if you try to slowly work your way in then there might be a chance another guy will come in and sweep her away. If the problem is your confidence then focus on that before focusing on her. Girls don't like guys who have low confidence.
