Content can't be made without scripting. The effort and time that went into flippers/diving/looting was about 10% graphics/ganis and 90% scripting.

I think a better statement is content can't be applied without the scripterrs doing their thing.

The difference is that scripting is the sort of thing players don't see the effect of first-hand. They see new levels, they see graphics, they see ganis... but they don't see scripts. They just see what the effects of scripting. Here, this guy says it best:

When I made my initial post I wast trying to say scripting was less important. I've said many time that scripters have the hardest job in graal, but I don't see them as developers.
