I'm gonna get it for the Wii U too but does anyone know what the differences are? I didn't look into it really. I mean obviously graphics but is there anything else?

Well honestly there's
huge differences, obviously the screen controller. From what I've heard the Wii U currently has an internal memory of about 1.5 GB while the regular Wii from Nintendo has about 512 MB, almost half as less as the New Wii. The new improved disk drive runs on Blue Ray Tech, but does not support DVD currently. The mobile controller allows you to play wii games without the actual T.V./Monitor.
Although The new Wii is a follow up of the Original, the Wii U does offer more options and updates for Games
