My tip for average to decent sparrers, spar in a room where you know the players are remotely bad judging by their spar stats(lol) and leave whenever someone who's better than you comes into the spar room.

Don't underestimate your opponent. Sparring people with negative spars doesn't mean you should take it lightly on them. THEY COULD BE GOING POSITIVE AS WELL.
