Er, they shouldn't. It's just weight at the end of the day. Adding "no offense" to the end of an offensive statement doesn't stop people from getting offended by the way. Somebody's weight has literally no reflection on what kind of person they are so you could be offending some genuinely lovely people who happen to be overweight by coming out with something like that.
