Ah, I admit I did forget about this a few days ago.

I wrote this a few days ago, think you can guess what it was about?
The man cautiously climbed down the rather steep steps of his space ship and had found himself on a dark, post-apocalyptic, and seemingly abandoned planet. After carefully scanning his navigation device, he loaded his dual AP45's and fled into the shadows. He wasn't alone on this planet, and any life forms here could be hostile. When he was sure the coast was clear, he checked his navigator once again and fled the area in search of a hiding spot closest to the center of the battle field.
He took a moment to catch his breath and remembered his training back on the sky world.
According to the grapevine, there has been a long, violent, civil war on the planet Conquest. The inhabitants had been fighting nonstop for years. It was only a matter of time before they destroyed their planet, although the fight still hasn't ended.
He hid behind several stacks of sandbags, and observed the fighting, their technology was just as advanced as ours in weaponry, but they fought amongst themselves rather than conquering other planets. Beams of light flying in all directions nonstop, peircing soldiers mercilessly. He took the opportunity to shoot the moment it came, then ran out into the open shooting any nearby target, taking them all out within seconds. When they were all surely dead, he heard a high frequency noise behind him and turned around expecting the worse. What he found was a treasure to anyone who could get one, and worth more than the biggest diamonds you could find.

Faith.
Willpower is only weakness. Strength, is never forever. Endurance does not last. And skill, is all for nothing. One day all of these will all die, and with them, you. All that will forever remain, and all that will pull you forward on this Earth is faith. That's what truly matters. Even The Green Lantern must recharge his batteries, faith lasts an eternity.

What I love
Though it may seem worthless to you,
It fills me with joy so great.
But as I love it more and more,
You show more envy and hate.
Could it be you want the same feeling,
That I get when it's around?
Or that you simply hate,
When peace within is found.
Maybe one day, my friend,
You will find the thing you seek.
May it be big or small,
I hope you finally have peace...
There you go!

The Downfall of People
Maybe, if we had taken a different path,
This world would not be dying.
But alas, we chose wrong,
So here we are, crying
Over lost riches, we have not noticed before,
Like love, hope and faith,
Who took us so far.
But we misuse them to this day.
Sadly, we just now see our mistakes,
Though it is far to late,
To fix the destruction us humans have done.
Perhaps one day when we die,
A species who knows true value of heart,
Will heed our message, and succeed from the start.
Now and until we die,
Us humans will cry and cry,
Over lost time and space,
Used for only waste.
But maybe we will survive,
And learn the true meaning of value.

Well I'm no good at drawing on a tablet so... a poem?
Something Valuable
Something valuable, don't you know
I have it for I know
It's worth more than what you see
It has become a part of me
I hold it close to the heart
Others may throw it away
The care they show is next to none
Even though it burns brighter than the sun
They do not know
But I understand its value
What I treasure is love
Some may not see
But they throw it away
Without care or glee
Well this is horrible. I have no talent.

People
Oh people, what do you value
You don't give kindness when it is due
You're selfish, and you don't care
How sad it is, when we snare
Each other in despair
We are human, that is true
All we like to do is argue
We have forgotten what we should do
And value what others have not
Things forgotten like honesty, joy, and love

You
You and I were meant to be,
it was clear to both you and me.
Your value to me was higher than gold,
all the love you gave me could never be sold.
Your beautiful laugh was music to my ears,
your emerald green eyes were never stained with tears.
Your smile was enough to make me fall in love with you again,
do you even know what you meant to me?
You were so valuable to me,
you still are,
and as far as the eye can see,
I'm still in perfect harmony.
You told me he didn't appreciate you,
that he didn't love you.
That he didn't value you.
But you know what? You don't need him to love you.
You don't need his lies to make you feel good,
because you are the most valuable thing in the world.
Value isn't something everyone can see.
Some people have an ocean of gold,
an ocean of diamonds,
an ocean of silver.
So to them, they don't need anything else in the world.
But you, my dear.
You are the most valuable thing to me.
You are valuable.
To me.
[ Eh, not my best work, but I had serious writer's block and so this is what came out. ;-; eh I'll probably post another one later. Also, I'm seeing some pretty nice poems here, keep up the good work everyone! ]
