That's because you are trying to be negative about it, perhaps you might be jealous? Sports are something actually real in life. They aren't these sitcoms, and these cartons, they aren't animes, or comedies or movies, they aren't even the news. Sports are real, usually live, entertainment and are one of the very few kinds to outdate the introduction of media like TV and internet. Even going back into to ancient days. It's how people managed and still manage to kill time in places where they aren't showered with electronics and other fancy tools to do whatever they want. Try playing a sport for once and you might change your opinion about them, not only do they make you feel great and make great friends, but it is a thrill to have a crowd cheering you on.

Sure I don't enjoy many sports, many are personally boring. But just because football isn't my thing, it doesn't mean that it's just a bunch of idiots playing a game. That goes for any sport. Many players are very educated. Nothing is wrong with enjoying to be athletic and push yourself to your limits. They get tons of girls, they get tons of attention, they get lots of cash, they stay in great shape, and they get to do what they love for a career. Is this the definition of an idiot to you?
