I don't count your reply as critism, really. I mean, you never actually played the server after Nico became the manager of it, did you? You can't really creatize something you never tried out. And I have tried to reply to everyones post, trying to show that there are changes. It's not the server it used to be, it's not the server you claim it to be. And back to my statement about Delteria, is was and still is a disappointment to/for the community. If you cared to read threads activly, you would get this yourself.
To your questions, Facebook Graal is not new, there is a FB-Application for iZone,iEra and iClassic. However this Facebook Application will connect you to the PC Server of Graal Kingdoms. This means it'll be absolutely free to play.
Actual Updates? Yes. The important updates are those which allow new players to be part of the game without having a hard time. A new map will be released soon, and new sets of items are in progress.

I can't tell you when the Facebook server will be out, but sijnce the beta testing has already started and everything but a Playerlist was done last time I heard about it, I would say 1-2 months. But, as said, I can't tell.
Why should you play it? I don't have any clue. But I can tell you why I play it. I enjoy the Player vs Player point of the game. You can duel (spar) others or you can just be an ass and kill people randomly, using weapons, swords, bows or magic spells. Even the leveling was/is fun, no matter how long it took me max one of my statistics. The original reason for me to play it was because it was some kind of 'new' to me. And especially the graphics caught my attention. I still enjoy playing it activly whenever I have time, and especially if the playercount is high.
