Not really a fan of the Shantae games. I have tried the iOS one and it really didn't catch my attention.

Hopefully, this title will bring something more fresh to the table rather than just an HD upgrade. From the Kickstarter that finished and funded this project, we should also be getting another playable character (Risky Boots), 3 costumes each with their own rebalanced stats/upgrades, and extra chapters.
