Just starting to watch Monster. It's about a Japanese surgeon prodigy that moved to Germany to work at a prestigious hospital.
After he failed to save the life of a young boy because of neglecting to do "what was right", he is overcome by guilt. Soon after, while he's operating on another young boy that has just been brought in after his family was massacred, he is ordered to abandon what he is doing and go operate on the mayor who has also just been brought in. Ignoring his orders, he continues to work on the young boy and as a result, he saves his life. He then learns that the mayor didn't survive the operation the less-skilled surgeons were conducting, and as a result of the Mayor's death, he loses his job.
Not long after that, the young boy he saved goes missing with his sister (who was also brought in, as she survived the massacre also) and a streak of murders begin to be reported. The odd thing is though, that all the people that have been murdered are related to the loss of his job, and so the police suspect that it was him who murdered these people.
It's a good watch.
