No. Guilds do not need tower rewards. There is nothing special about 1000.
And the seasonal awards would also always go to the same guilds, but would strengthen guild loyalty and stop people from needing to abandon a guild at 1k and create another. So im 1/5 yea, 4/5 nay. So nay.
