We use three pretty important mods for the server management - WorldGuard, Lightweight Chest Protection, and LogBlock. Everytime these haven't functioned (and before we didn't use them) the server became a mess. Like I said before too, the world may need resetting when Bukkit is added so it'd just piss people off to reset again. Might as well wait.
On another note, is sheep regrowth fixed yet?

I'm getting really bored, haha. I don't think Minecraft is properly finished. Enderdragon Eggs still do nothing D: and swamp water doesn't transition.
