don't major in gamedev unless you want to learn less than you can learn on your own and be put in the **** pile of programmers

Trust me, I understand what you are saying. The degree I'm going for is basically a Computer Science degree with a focus on the game development. Most of their graduates end up with a job not in the game field. It's kind of a backup plan in case I can't find a job in game programming.
