Which is a worse idea :
1. If he puts in a random number of slots, he'd get an CPU overuse.
2. Turning on dual servers would make it use twice more CPU and RAM

Are you even reading what I'm talking about? I'm saying he's renting a multi-purpose server that is factored around basic computer statistics,
not this "slots" system.
He can still limit the slots, and using a VPS would even grant him a larger control over the server.
It's not like he's going to run a 256mb server with 200slots.....
