It was just announced that OUYA will receive annual installments: Each year it will be re released with a more powerful processor. Say, 2014 will see the OUYA 2, 2015 will see the OUYA 3, etc. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of having a stable environment for developers? I mean wasn't that the whole idea: An android market, on a TV, where everyone has the same powered device? Sure the operating system is the same, but I'm not sure this is going to help independent developers at all.
