I would also suggest Gani Artists to learn what the Loop, Continuous, SetBack, etc settings do.
Also open up the .gani file with notepad++ and try to understand how it is working, an advanced gani artist should be able to gani within the notepad++ and add special effects (color effects, alpha (transparencies), zoom effects, etc to sprites)...it may look like scripting but it's not (although if you are also a scripter, you can add scripts/particle/emitters to your gani as well).
I will be changing the light saber ganis when I have time to show you guys what I mean

Ezz, check out my gold saber ganis, i had the lightsaber throw and deactivate/activate effects+ moar sounds if thats what you were intenting to do, may save you some time
They should still be in the ganis folder unless someone deleted them
