The Hunger Games
Game: 4 | Minecraft
The fourth Graalians Hunger Games will be hosted
this saturday (February 2) @ 7:30 PM EST!
In order to participate, you will need to be whitelisted for the Graalians Minecraft server. (If you are not already whitelisted, please post your account
in this thread.) The server will open around an hour before the games actually begin.
There will be a few major differences between these games and the prior ones, but it's the same idea. Here's some tips to win (or at least live longer) during the games.
- Be prepared to find another way to survive other than digging down to bedrock [*hint* *hint* *nudge* *nudge*]
- It will be harder to find diamonds (and even iron) on this map so try to be more tactful rather than just mining. There are plenty of treasures to be found throughout the map that will be much more beneficial to you than what you'll find mining.
- Teaming is discouraged, but not prohibited.
- In case you haven't played before, there's a giant golden structure (called the cornucopia) which contains some pretty cool stuff to give you an edge in this game. [It won't be outrageously overpowered like in the last game, so don't expect to take over the cornucopia with a gang of six or seven people and be able to survive off of it.]
- I just want to put it out there that you won't starve to death. You can potentially lose all your hunger and then fall all the way down to .5 hearts, but you can't die all the way. Just keep that in mind and try not to panic about hunger too much.
- In these hunger games, there will be no seconds of safety. In the past games there have been thirty seconds - two minutes of no-PVP; that will not be the case this time! Good luck!
- We did put a few traps around. Nothing that's going to kill you if you're halfway careful though. Just keep that in mind!
Please keep in mind that all hacks and unfair client modifications are banned and will result in disqualification from not only this round but from all future rounds as well as a blanket banning from the server itself. (If in doubt whether something is "fair" or not, ask. Don't use unfair mods and then insist that you didn't realize they were unfair; your best bet is to just not use the mod at all if there is uncertainty.)
