Well this is pretty good feedback.
I thought over the subject and some features would require alot of scripting and such.
But here are some features that would help make this unique. Feel free to inbox me ideas.
Quests/Tasks/Missions/Whatever
Until the players get introduced into gangs and basing (further described below), questing will take up most of their time. There would be 400+ quests, with more being added everyday, just to assure that players wouldn't get bored. Thinking too big?
Gangs and Bases
The gang system would be just like any other server, anyone is able to create a gang.
There would be 3-5 bases on the map. These bases would take the form of oil rigs, factories and pumping plants. You control the oil, you control the world. Ha-ha.
Now, this is where the fun comes in. It'd take some work to script, but some guns, all vehicles and just a ton of stuff will need oil. So these oil bases would cover zones of the map. And there would be oil/gas stations located around the map, some in base zones, some free of influence. Whenever you buy oil for whatever, and it's in a base zone, the gang gets paid, the leader can then divide pay-out to members based on rankings whatever.
The Gov'
I'm also thinking either to make this fully npc, or maybe auto-recruiting players after a certain task is done. The remaining scraps of the government...They would be trying to regain control of the wasteland. Don't know how this would work. Requires further thought for now. Lol.
Other Random Scraps
Alignment - Towns might have their gates closed to you based on your alignment. Are you a honest person trying to survive? Or a barbarian terrorizing everything in sight?
Map - Basically the map would be pitch dark from the moment you start. In order to actually see anything on your map, you have to explore first. This should help players get a feel of the environment first.
Now if I were to go about creating this server, it would require a HUGE team.
