I understand what you're saying now and I agree with the minimum lvl. Good idea.
I think what you're assuming is that when you bomb you literally blow a hole in the wall. How would they script this you may ask? Well, that's a great question. I didn't think about the specifics when I suggested it.
Maybe there could be special walls that blow away when you use an explosive. The walls would be more of an object that a leveling wall, however designed to blend in with the level tiles. The only problem I have with this is the wall respawning. After a little while a player might be standing where the wall respawns and the wall makes them stuck. Bad. Unless the wall is multiple mineral walls thick and you have to exit the space for them to respawn... Idk.
Anyway, it could work with a limited number of explosive wall hallways per mine.
Addition: a player could just use another bomb to get unstuck from a respawned wall. Or unstick.

Now i can see where you're going with this. Now i will help. As for what you said about the whole in the wall, why not it just sorta crumble the rocks down to us? Instead getting stuck collecting the rocks and having to unstick or damage ourselves multiple times. That can become quite an annoyance. Try to imagine you placing the 4dynamites together with a clock in front? It explodes but leaves no fire. An instead of leaving a whole you can go through, let it be like on classic how you blow up a crack in the wall(maybe)? I don't know really.
