The only time you cant pick up the patches right away is if the Pyrats kill each other, or someone else kills them. Sometimes using bombs to kill Pyrats will give a person nearby the kill.

I think it should be made so that you can pick up the patch even if you didn't kill the pyrat, or just automatically get the patch when you kill one.
