Downloading isn't really from the device you're using, practically from the Internet speed and 20% comes from the device's CPU (call them core)
+ this is why androids have low priority in protection, you can install anything with in it's default count (no root) so there is no use of buying apps anymore, means Android Market can end up dead soon enough.

This just proves you're talking out you're ass. Android Market has been gone for a while now, everything is Google Play. In addition to buying apps, music, and movies you can also download live wallpapers, widgets, and tweaks and other stuff there too. Android has a higher marketshare in the world than iPhone so I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon.
