Even a quarter-inch profile on each side would probably save a lot of iPhones from cracked screens, and barely effect design aesthetics. However less cracked screens means less people immediately replacing their cracked iPhone with a new one.

Yeah, I always see iDevices with cracked screens. I see more cracked screens than intact now I think of it.
